Lithium Ion Battery Recycling

Durable Conveying Equipment for Lithium-ion Battery Recycling

Helping Operations Improve Productivity and Profits

As the renewable energy sector continues to grow and mature, bulk material handling operations are recycling expired products like lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. CDM manufactures long-lasting equipment that makes production better–and simpler.

Facilities can significantly improve bottom line numbers if their equipment reliably handles the sensitive material to increase the transfer volume of clean energy commodities like Li-ion batteries.

This is good news for you because increased volume = higher revenue and faster company growth.

CDM’s custom-built conveyors raise production and profits in many ways, for many reasons:

  • Designed for your facility’s layout
  • Engineered with corrosion-resistant construction
  • Built to handle varying bulk densities

  • Minimizes downtime and reduces maintenance costs
  • Facilitates high production demands
  • Increases operational efficiency

How Are Lithium Batteries Recycled?

The lithium-ion battery recycling process begins with the bulk handling of expired batteries, where the components are separated and the remains are shredded into what’s referred to as “black mass.” From there, durable conveying systems are needed to transfer the volume of recyclable material and shredded black mass to the next stage of processing.
